Help build the new Grade 1-9 School in Naco, Quimistan

The new school in Naco will serve 250 students in Grades 1-9. The plan calls for ten large classrooms, a STEM lab, restrooms and handwashing stations, a kitchen, an office, storage, and outdoor play areas. Teachers will be able to work with their own classes without competing to be heard. Students will have a place to do science experiments and work with technology, and younger children will have room to run and play during the school day.​

We are proposing to build the school in two phases. The first phase (2027) will provide classrooms for grades 7 through 9. The second phase (2028) will provide classrooms for grades 1 through 6. When both phases are complete, a child who enters first grade in Naco will be able to learn on the same campus all the way through ninth grade, with classrooms and facilities designed for each stage of their education.
We are proposing the funding of the project be a partnership between SCW, the municipality, area businesses, and the community. The total project cost is estimated to be $462,000. The SCW matching contribution would be approximately $113,000 with the rest coming from the other partners.
