The University of St. Thomas Good Neighbor Team

The University of St.Thomas (UST) Good Neighbor program and the Awty International School Houston are teaming up to build another school in Honduras!

The AWTY-SCW Club has built eight schools in the past eight years.

For 2021 we will be identifying another school project to be constructed. AWTY students will be involved in the fundraising for this project and will be traveling to Honduras in the summer of 2021 to complete the project and dedicate the school. UST Good Neighbor students will coach and facilitate the Awty team with the latest in Social Entrepreneurship for their important IB Service project.

This school will be constructed in one of the poorest rural villages in Honduras where the current school is in terrible condition and very few students have the opportunity to attend. The new school will include a beautiful new building, bathrooms, running water, furniture and playgrounds. The photos and video links are examples of what we have been able to accomplish.
